Your book is so good… it’s a breakthrough for me! A real breakthrough, I will read it over and over again because something clicked when I read this and I know that it’s the key that I was missing. This element that I was missing–every page, “yes, yes, yes, she’s right.”

I’ve been practicing law of attraction for four years now, but it seems that you gave me the key to my happiness, and I know that I will achieve it. I understand it, I can practice it, and I know it works. You made a big difference in my life just by reading your book. Thank-you!

“Thanks so much for sharing your experience. It was worth it just to be in your presence and energy. I love your idea and I’ll start applying it now.

I sometimes experience moments of empowering joy, particularly when in the company of trees or the moon, but also at seemingly inexplicable times, and I always appreciate that feeling… but the concept of consciously working to make that feeling grow is something that hadn’t occurred to me until I heard it from you. Thanks for helping me take it to a new level!

Sometimes I experience these moments of joy when walking alone in a crowd of strangers. At these times, I feel I might begin to dance rather than walk, without even knowing it (something your experience in Staples reminded me of).

On my way home from the grocery store tonight, I listened to my mp3 player on the “shuffle songs” setting, and I came across a song I didn’t even know I had. Somehow this song reminded me of you. It just gave me a strong feeling of joy and happiness, and it felt like the same energy I got from you. I’ve attached it, as I wanted to share it with you.

Thanks, and I hope to meet you again,”

“Yesterday, it was so warm outside, I had a craving for ice cream in the afternoon. A really strong craving. But, when I stopped my mind from racing, I asked myself, what do I want. I said ice cream! Then I said, I wanted the taste and feel of ice cream in my mouth…the sweetness and cool taste…I started to salivate just thinking about it and I realized I had given myself exactly what I was craving…without eating any! Now, that’s what I call a diet that lets you have anything you want without gaining an ounce! Once I had the taste and feeling of ice cream within me, I went to the fridge and grabbed an apple! Yum!”—BP, Ottawa

I have really enjoyed our last meetup, and it was a real pleasure getting to know you. I had attended a couple of meetups previously with other groups, but none of them had the same impact this one had on me. I can proudly say that I have been feeling joyful ever since the meeting until now :) You are a very remarkable and influential person, and the fact that you’re following up with us on a personal basis shows what a genuinely caring person you are!

I will definitely post comments on the meetup, and on the book after I finish reading it. I look forward to meeting with you again and again. I will keep an eye on any upcoming events. Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us, and for your passion for spreading the joy you’re experiencing. I wish you more and more joy!

It reminded me that no one can make me feel anything I do not want to feel. It is up to me to decide how I am going to feel at any given time. I can now decide if I am going to let life beat me down, or find joy and happiness everyday no matter what life sends my way. After all life is all about perception, one person’s hell is another person’s heaven. If I choose to look at the world in a positive way, my perception of the world would most likely be positive. The world has not changed, just my perception of it. It is easy to find the negative in the world, but it takes a little effort to find the good. That kind of effort seems worth the reward. Thanks for writing your book Cindy, Smitty :)

I tried this last night as I found myself yawning with friends at dinner. When the conversation turned for a moment, I quietly asked myself “what do I want” (to feel energized), “how does it feel” (I feel strong, I feel like laughing, very happy) and it took some concentration because I wasn’t alone, but it worked :)

PS–at this point, it’s becoming more of a habit to ask the question and curb some of the silly thoughts – and that’s a very good thing !

REPLY FROM CINDY: This is *very* good to hear….

That is a depth one can only realize for themselves, that when you stop being needy, when you are self-fulfilled, you also begin to give yourself peace.

Thank you so much! I received both of your MP3’s and also your Poem file. It looks beautiful. I will be able to get the MP3’s on my player and listen to them for the next 2 weeks. I plan on giving your website details out to all of my meditation students. I am certain that it will prove extremely helpful to them.

I have been practicing Awakening Joy with Cindy for more than 12 hours over the last four weeks. With the simple, yet very efficient method she proposes, I was able to greatly increase my ability to feel good in all circumstances.

In terms of the Law of Attraction, this is what it means:

“It is our absolute promise to you that when you understand the power of feeling good now, no matter what, you will hold the key to the achievement of any state of being, any state of health, any state of wealth, or any state of anything that you desire.” Abraham, as channeled by Esther Hicks, in Ask and it is given, p.4

I found your Awakening Joy e-book two days ago. What you have written in your e-book were truly profound and really resonate with me. I was caught in a traffic jam this morning, and I decided to put the method to practice and in no time I was feeling the joy of having a fast and unobstructed ride down the highway even though I was moving at a turtle pace.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful gift with the whole World (I am half way around the world in Singapore).

Thank you , reading your book at the moment.

I have only had fleeting moments of inexpressible joy. Actually only 2 I remember really clearly.

years ago, sitting outside reading , suddenly I felt unbridled happiness and pure joy, for all of 5 seconds! U give me hope!

    still reading, about half way

have read Hicks. Last night & similar books, love them all.

yes, conscious control was what was lacking in me, has taken me 60 years to learn this is possible!!!!!!!

I have Tolle’s books too. Your book has simplified it for me, or should I say, crystallized it for me.

yes u r absolutely right I often limit my own joy, put a lid on it! silly me!

I am constantly searching for answers and your answers are the clearest I have encountered.

Thank you Cindy for such a wonderful ‘message’ last night. I must have been so anxious, since I turned up one day early……only to find the doors locked!!!

Thank you so much for the lecture last evening. I was the annoying person in the front row at your far left. I was curious, apprehensive, critical, but truly wanted to understand your message. Seemed too good to be true. I am the one who, at the end, asked you to sign your “Awakening Joy” CD. When I got home, I downloaded and printed your book on “Awakening Joy”. I read ’till 2:00 a.m.

I feel so happy and excited today. Like the others, this is not the first step on my journey. But, I believe, this step is the most important. WHY? Because you have given me the tools to find and work with what I want. I have read books that said simply STOP the negative thoughts. O.K. Meditate. O.K. But then what? (A favourite university prof one told me “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.”) I now have a resplendent toolbox.

Now, I know know what. What do I want? How does it feel. Simply amazing. I do know however, that it will require work. The initial euphoria will evaporate without a sustaining environment. I hope to join you in further work.

I’d downloaded your ebook but hadn’t yet had a chance to read through it. I’ve just finished today, however, and I’d love to share my thoughts.

I found the insights shared in your book to be deeply profound. At a time when I’m at something of a crossroads in my life, Awakening Joy really spoke to me about freeing myself from the past, from the unnecessary things I’ve allowed to block myself along the way. Your own experiences were very inspiring, and I’m grateful you chose to share them, and the realizations you had from them.

Your book has given me a lot of excellent ideas, and a lot of things to take to heart. I cannot wait to make them a regular part of my daily practice.

Thank you so much, again, for sharing this book with me.

    Warmest regards,
    Lisa

Just a quick note to say that I found you on Meetup.com some weeks ago and looked at your website in more detail today and read pretty much all that you wrote on it.

I then requested and received your free copy of Awakening Joy. So first, thanks so much for making it available to people for free. That’s very generous of you.

I started reading it and on Page 3 (Gratitude), second paragraph, you state “or as put in my Alchemy poetry book: One is all and all is one.”

Now, I’ve often heard this maxim before. But just before I got home from a long drive, I was playing my favorite song over and over again in my car and I was still playing it in my head as I was reading information from your website.

I thought about this maxim and about what you’re doing (helping others find joy and end their sufferings) and something hit a note with me – and I thought that, in a way, you could say the last few lyrics of my favorite song (which is an all-time hit and most requested song ever) kind of describe you and what you’re doing:

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The truth will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll

    And she’s buying a stairway
    To heaven…

Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin, was written by the lead singer, Robert Plant. And he stated at a concert in the 70s that he believes that this is a song of hope.

Thought I’d share that with you. My little way of giving back I guess :-)

    Thanks again Cindy,
    Paul

Really glad that I made your lecture. I was practicing while I was camping on vacation. I caught poison ivy on my second day there and there was no “suffering” involved. Yes, there was itchiness and it was like you described during your talk. An interesting sensation. I am sure it was way less serious as I was able to go the entire 4 days and only scratched once !!

Also, I had really wanted this ex-boyfriend to be there camping with me – I have been obsessed with him since we broke up…and was using the awakening joy to feel his presence. It has helped me to not phone him on several occasions.

Cindy, thanks so much for your book! You have taken what was for me a life long
journey to find peace and happiness and put it all into one FREE e-book.

You have truly found what Jesus meant when he said “the kingdom of Heaven is within”. You and your work are critical as we come into the next stage of human evolution.

I have passed your book on to loved ones who have also been dramatically changed. God Bless you in all your endeavors.

I’m still following you on twitter which is where I discovered your book, your daily reminders are a great help to stop and feel the awesome presence of Joy within.

Thanks so much for writing and sharing your book. It has been very helpful to me and to the way I feel.

I was your father two years ago! The only difference is I didn’t die. I just wanted to, but I couldn’t finish the job, even in the drunken, depressed, hopeless state I was in.

I was gradually starting to feel less depressed and I am starting to become a good father again. I have read a few spiritual books like The Four Agreements, and A New Earth.

I was convinced that spirituality was the answer. But when I read your book it was an instant spiritual awakening, now knowing that I can feel good all the time. I have begun to practice feeling good and guess what? It feels good!

Thank you again for sharing what you have learned. That is very loving of you! I will continue to read your book and continue to practice feeling good and continue to practice love.

A, Ottawa…….I thank you so much for the courage it must have taken for you to write your story. Isn’t AWAKENING JOY just the most precious gift? I am so happy that Cindy is spreading her ‘awakening and love’ and all of us who read her book, started the ‘practice’ and can’t help but ’spreading’ it.
Now, that is something to be involved in and like a drop added to a fast growing river….
    Lots of Love, I.

I just want to say thank you SO much for creating the Awakening Joy e-book.

For a background, I’m a Buddhist practitioner and I also read lots of
Eckhart Tolle’s books so I found your teachings resonate with me very
much. Every time I read your book, I always get what they usually
called an “A-ha moment” where I suddenly experience deep understanding
of what you are saying. I even print out your e-book so that I can
    read it anytime I want.

These are probably three of my favorite quotes from the book that
function as helpful reminders for me every time I feel depressed or
    experience lots of negative thoughts:

    1. Just because you feel the effect of negative thought does not mean
that the thought is real or true.

    2. Suffering means it is time to feel good – nothing else.

    3. Things are not inherently good or bad; our feeling good or bad is.
    Everything that is, is.

Anyway, I just want to say thanks again for sharing the e-book and I
really hope many people will read your book because for me, this is
probably one of the most powerful and transformational book that I’ve
    ever read.

    Thanks a lot,
    Felix

I think it is a really good book and will contribute a lot to helping humanity live more joyfully.

I started with ACIM in about 1990, and have zig zagged in and out of peace, but in what feels like a steady path towards living more consistently in peace. And your book, like other important ones, helps a lot.

My experience is that your perspective helps me understand why the spiritual path works. What I had been doing was essentially firing the demanding mind as master, and letting the body relax into just being, even though the demanding mind is not satisfied. And that is sort of like what you describe with giving yourself what it feels like to have your partner there, even if you have broken up. It is like a decision to feel the good feelings, even though the outside world, and our demanding mind might not be giving you permission to feel the good feelings.

So your book has helped keep me on that path of ignoring the demands of the mind, and just feeling what it feels like to let the body rest.

  • Anita Hussey, Ottawa said:

I enjoyed the afternoon yesterday. I truly enjoy every word said, it is very helpful for me to become a beautiful, peaceful person, full of love.

Yesterday the part that really clicked with me is when your friend asked you what to say when people comment “are you in denial?” That part about focusing on one negative thing to the point that you are eliminating the rest of reality (and eliminating all the good stuff)… wow, that hit the spot. That is so true, I’m glad you mentioned that. I never realized how negative thoughts really do make us blind to the good stuff. It makes “living in a happy place” so worth it! I’m getting really good at deflecting the negative now, it happens less and less. I’m taming my “old mind” it is virtually non-existant now! Yippee!

Thank you so much for sharing. You are a wonderful person and the world is a better place having you in it!

I didn’t want to mention anything on sunday by fear of getting upset but since reading your book I have meditated and/or contemplated the feelings the perfect partner would bring me, asking myself all the questions. Well, during my last session (I haven’t really worked on that part of my life since that evening) an AMAZING feeling of pure love, peace and mostly security went all over me. It was unbelievable and I started crying, the feeling was so overwhelming but I couldn’t go back to finding the feeling again. Do I just keep doing the exercise over and over, work through the crying while doing so?

    Regards, Julie

    – From Cindy

Yes, continue to practice through it, keeping your eyes open and feeling into your whole body. So long as this is crying with joy, and the crying does not feel bad, simply keep enjoying the good feeling. If the crying is a bad feeling, then something is missing, so start over and ask yourself “What do I want?”

    Namaste,
    Cindy

Thank you so much for both emails Cindy. The tears were from happiness! From feeling something SO good, something I never felt like before. I wish you the best in your adventure of life and I’m sure we will see you around some more. I’m going to practice practice practice, it’s gonna be my new yoga!

Thanks a million for being so much help!
    Blessings , Julie
